Metabolic Panel

The metabolic panel covers markers of glucose regulation and long-term glycemic control. Fasting plasma glucose reflects the body's baseline blood sugar level after an overnight fast. HbA1c reflects average blood glucose over the preceding two to three months. Together they are used to assess glucose metabolism across the population.
