Data and Methodology
- Dataset
- NHANES 2017-March 2020 Pre-Pandemic Sex Steroid Hormone Panel ( NHANES 2017-2020 Sex Hormones 2020 , Survey-weighted percentiles from the NHANES sex steroid hormone subsample (WTTSTPP))
- Survey years
- 2017-2020
- Sample size
- 651 participants
- Reference population
- US civilian non-institutionalized females aged 50-59 from the NHANES 2017-March 2020 sex steroid hormone subsample, excluding pregnant participants. Includes the full sampled group (not restricted to healthy individuals) to reflect the population distribution.
- Exclusion criteria
-
- Age under 20
- Pregnant at time of exam (RIDEXPRG == 1)
- Missing Progesterone measurement
- Missing or zero hormone subsample weight (WTTSTPP)
- Age outside 50-59 range
- Notes
- Percentiles computed using survey-weighted analysis (WTTSTPP hormone subsample weight). Values below the assay detection limit are NHANES-imputed as the detection limit divided by the square root of 2. 5% of this group's values are NHANES below-detection imputations (detection limit / sqrt 2), which affects the lower percentiles.
